Dr Jack Rabe Took us up Cardiac Hill and we spotted EIGHT wolves and learned about current research. School of Rockfish week is finally here! Striped b School of Rockfish week is finally here! Striped bass adults spawned last Wednesday night, eggs were collected and hatched last Friday, fry (newly hatched juvenile fish) were delivered to schools across the state on Monday (4/27), baby Rockfish started eating their first meals of brine shrimp today (4/29), and some schools will start releasing fry back into the Tar river on Friday (5/1)! Project RESTORE (Rescuing Endangered Species Through Outreach Restoration and Education) School of Rockfish Program could not happen without the tireless efforts of our various partners @naturalsciences @nc.dncr @usfws @ncwildlife @albemarlepamliconep @triangleflyfishers @americanfisheries @ncmefoundation @nfwf, all our dedicated teachers and students, and countless volunteers. #learninghappenshere #conservationinaction #schoolofrockfish
